Dominic Pesoli -Promoter
and President
Dominic Pesoli formed 8 Count Productions, a multi-faceted
boxing promotions company in 1997. Based in Chicago,
Illinois, Dominic set out to revive the professional
boxing scene in Chicago and surrounding Midwest.
Dominic has built his reputation on his unwavering commitment
to entertaining the boxing public, encouraging his fighters
to “take the next step” and by staying as
true to his vision as to his word. Dominic is known
and respected for his honest business practices, strong
sense of integrity and for his strong, long lasting
relationships with his fighters and peers which are
based on trust, loyalty and mutual respect.
Dominic promotes his events at leading local athletic
venues, upscale theaters and top Midwest casinos. Dominic’s
fighters fight all over the world. His events have been
nationally broadcast on FOX SPORTS NET, ESPN2, Telefutura
and Telemundo.
8 Count Productions’ home gym is JABB Boxing Gym.
JABB, a long time dream of Dominic and former undefeated
featherweight contender Michael “The Fly”
Garcia came to fruition in December of 2003. JABB is
a full service boxing training facility in the heart
of Chicago. Chicago’s top professional and amateur
fighters along with a host of local celebrities train
at JABB.
Dominic’s day to day duties include: strategic
planning, business development, production, financial/legal
management, working side by side with 8 Count’s
Director of Boxing, Jerry Alfano and overseeing operations
and training at JABB.

Jerry Alfano –
Director of Boxing
Jerry is one of the most respected matchmakers in the
industry and works closely with top promoters and matchmakers
worldwide. Jerry has been involved in matchmaking some
of the most memorable fights to date. Jerry has been
involved in professional boxing for 20 plus years.
Jerry’s day to day duties include: match-making,
negotiating fighter’s contracts, scouting and
signing talent and ensuring fighter’s medicals
and licenses are up to date. Jerry is a licensed corner-man
and cut-man.

Bernie is responsible for managing and coordinating
public and TV appearances, interviews, press conferences,
generating public awareness for 8 Count’s events
and fighters and the 8 Count Productions’ Newsletter.
Bernie motivates his press contacts from leading boxing
websites and the local media to cover events and create
public excitement.
